The ideal candidate will be a designer-educator-scholar who will establish and lead teaching and research that explores transdisciplinary fields and paradigms. As a researcher, they will work with students to produce internationally recognized work, and develop collaborative relationships with industry as well as academia and the community. Applicants should be able to publish in peer-reviewed venues, and be able to obtain funding to support their work. They should value innovative and effective teaching for students from different cultural and intellectual backgrounds. Promising applicants will combine engineering virtuosity with a commitment to creative and thoughtful design. Candidates should submit their interest in response to one or more of the following categories of research, teaching, and practice:

 *   robotics* and/or human-centred computing with applied translations into industrial design;
 *   robotics and/or human-centred computing with applied translations into the built environment;
 *   robotics and/or human-centred computing with applied translations into sculpture and/or manufacturing.
